IRISH CULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING - January 21, 2007

The meeting of the Irish Cultural Society was called to order by President,
Gene Logan, following a prayer by Sister Carmel, at 5:20PM. A program of
Irish music performed by Jim and Maggie Fox was presented before the
business meeting. There were 37 members and 2 guests in attendance. The
minutes were read and accepted as read.

The treasurers report was given by Bob Slattery. The balance for the
three months ending Dec. 2006 is $5745.58. The good news is that we lost
less money than last year. Bob also reports that we received a thank you
note from the presentation sisters for the Green Santa event.

There were no reports from the various committees.

New business included reminders of the many Irish events to be held in
March, Irish Heritage Day will be March 11. Maura has contacted vendors
and entertainers. A sign-up sheet listing the various volunteer opportunities
was passed around. We are encouraged to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day
parade taking place on March 17. Also on March 17, an Irish story telling
event will take place at the Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne.

The Noel Henry dance will be held on March 24 at the Knights of Columbus
Hall on Camp Bullis Rd. Also on March 25th a fund raiser for the sisters
will be held. Tickets are $50.00

The meeting was adjourned at 5:50 PM.
