IRISH CULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING - FEBRUARY 18, 2007

The meeting of the Irish Cultural Society was called to order by President,
Gene Logan, at 3:20 PM. The minutes were read and approved as read. Bob
Slattery, Treasurer, reports that there is a balance of $5,918.01 in the
checking account . This is $172 ahead of last month.

Kay Delaney, Membership Chairman, reports that there is one new member.
Today’s attendance is 32 members and 4 guests.

There will be no regular meeting in March as members are urged to attend
and help with the Irish Heritage Day to be held on March 11. Other events
are the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17 and the annual fund raiser,
the Noel Henry Dance on March 24.

A speaker or program is needed for April and June meetings. A speaker from
Houston is booked for the May meeting.
Gene Logan has an appointment to speak with Institute of Texan Cultures
director, John Davis, regarding the removal of the Irish in Texas
exhibit.
The business meeting was adjourned at 3:50 PM.
A program was presented by Paul Cohen on Tristram and Shandy
by Lawrence Stern.
