IRISH CULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING - April 15, 2007

The meeting of the Irish Cultural Society was called to order
at 3:30 PM by President, Gene Logan. The minutes of the previous
meeting were read and approved. Bob Slattery, Treasurer,
reported that as of the end of March there was a balance of
$11,978.72. All of the Noel Henry dance expenses have been paid.
The Irish Heritage Day will probably lose about $300 this year.

A new treasurer needs to be elected for next year as Bob has
held this position for several years. And understandably would
like to pass on this responsibility to someone else, Also a
person is needed to write the newsletter.

Gene Logan met with Institute of Texan Cultures director, John
Davis, in regard to the removal of the "Irish in America"
exhibits.

There were no committee reports. The meeting was adjourned
Approximately twenty seven members were in attendance.

A program "Exploring the Christian Heritage of the Celts" was
presented by Clann a Chalmain
