IRISH CULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING - June 10, 2007

The meeting of the Irish Cultural Society was called to order at 3:25 PM
by President, Gene Logan. The minutes of the previous May 20 meeting were
taken and read by Susan Feely. They were approved as read. Treasurer,
Bob Slattery, reported a balance of $6787.74.
See attached sheet. (Not included with minutes)

There were no reports from committee chairpersons.

Old business was a discussion of a place and date for the annual Christmas
party. The discussion centered on the availability of the Fort Sam Houston
Golf Club on the date of January 3rd and 4th. Objections were that this
date is after Christmas, and may not be an acceptable time for the majority
of the group. No decisions were made at this time. Also the date and place
of the Noel Henry dance were discussed. The Knights of Columbus hall has
become very expensive, and the dates of March 28 and 29 are already booked.
Other sites, such as St. Marks on Thousand Oaks and Hwy. 281 will be
evaluated.

The Irish Heritage Day lost money this year, but the site, San Antonio
College, is thought to be acceptable.

New business included Lou Kelley's resignation as Vice President. Bob
Slattery will assume this position. The position of treasurer will need to be
filled by election.

There was no further business. The meeting was adjourned.
A program by Hannah Davidson Parkousky entitled "Holocaust Experiences"
followed.
